Louis' Story

Louis came to us from Linda Cathey of Tru North Alaskan Malamutes in Colorado.  His is a line steeped in the tradition of working dogs with weight pull being at the center point.  Louis enjoys the one on one of dog shows, but definitely prefers to be in harness.  He has been a natural weight puller from the outset, pulling 1900lbs at the Alaskan Malamute Club of America's National Specialty in Estes Park Colorado!  He is a happy affectionate boy with a big heart and even bigger drive to work. He is easy going and prefers to avoid conflict, but do not be fooled, he will stand his ground if challenged in typical malamute fashion.  At home he loves to "practice" weight pull and run on the bike, when not doing that, cuddling in the yard is a favourite past time.
